Johns Hopkins University Lecturer in ESL in Baltimore, Maryland
The Center for Language Education at Johns Hopkins University seeks a part-time Lecturer in English as a Second Language (ESL) for the 2018 summer intensive ESL program.
Dates: July 2 – August 3, 2018
Courses: Listening and Speaking
Reading and Writing
The successful candidate will be assigned to teach one or two courses during the five-week program. The lecturer is expected to attend an orientation meeting prior to the start of the program. Participation in various events throughout the program is also required.
Minimum qualifications include an M.A. degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, or second/foreign language acquisition; experience in teaching at the university level as well as strong computer literacy.
All supporting materials must be submitted only via Interfolio and should include the following items:
Letter of application (cover letter) including statement of teaching philosophy
Names and email addresses only of three references
A video demonstration of your teaching including an introduction of yourself at the beginning of the video. (We do not accept a DVD by surface mail. A YouTube link with password is acceptable.)
